A morning update...

Hello All, How are you doing on this hot and humid day? Maybe I'm crazy but this is seriously my most favorite weather :-) Ok, so I thought I'd give you an update on my day so far. This morning I had my Kashi cereal with a banana and 1.5TB of chunky PB. Mmm...all for 5pts. I then had a snack of half of a very deliciously ripe canteloupe for 1.5pts. YUM!!! I noticed I'm doing pretty good with getting fruit in my diet. Yesterday I had a whole medium papaya and today canteloupe. It's always great when you can vary up your fruits. Luckily for me, the fruit street vendors in NYC are not only cheap, but most of the time the fruit is very ripe! How are you guys doing today?

Question of the day...How do you measure your fruit? Like how would you measure apple, pear, etc.

This is a good question, considering many apples, oranges, banana's are of different sizes. Fruits like apples and oranges, I usually measure as the size of a baseball. A grapefruit I measure as a size of a softball. The trickiest fruit I think is the banana. I see huge banana's in the grocery store! I will take the smallest banana bunch I can find, and make each banana one serving size. Anything larger, I add about 1 WW pt. I find pears are usually around the same size, and still count each pear as 1 WW pt. Grapes, I'll usually measure them out in an eight ounce cup to get an exact portion.

***Snack Attack***

So, I promised you all a new Snack Attack. I thank my sister for this find. Im typically not big on cottage cheese, but this was certainly tasty. Now, the snack is tasty, but I have to be honest, when the fruit is mixed in with the cottage cheese, this does not look that appetizing, but tastes great -trust me on this.
This phenomenal find is Rachel's Cottage Cheese in pomegranate orange cranberry. Once you open this up, you need to stir the cottage cheese to bring the fruit up -similar to Breyer's Fruit on the bottom yogurts.
Here are the stats on the snack:
Calories: 130
Fat: 2
Carbs: 12
Fiber: 1
Points value: 3
Enjoy!
What snacks do you guys enjoy?
